Vivienne’s 1st Birthday

November 6, 2017

On October 21, 2017 we celebrated our Vivienne’s first birthday. It was such a fun yet bittersweet moment for us. We love the current stage she is in, watching her grow more and more every day… yet, wouldn’t mind if the time slowed down a bit. Again, bittersweet. I have too many emotions over here … so, I’ll tell you a little bit about the party.

I wanted the event to be at home, in Vivienne’s new playroom and more than anything to be casual and fun! We decided on a brunch and pajama themed party (that the adults thanked us later for) and enjoyed the company of good friends and family. Thank you to Petite Plume for sending us matching pajamas that were SO adorable and for Rebecca of Make and Do Studio for providing the festive décor. With little to no time to cook myself, I ended up ordering catering from Chestnut. Kirsten does such an amazing job at not only the food, but her table presentation is everything. She brought in all the plates and décor for the setup and came back later to pick it all up. Super easy for me! We went with a brunch menu, mimosa bar and a beautiful cake that looked like a stack of pancakes by Ruze Cakes. You’ll  just die when you see this cake! The mimosa bar wouldn’t have been complete without this magnum bottle of champagne. Ha ha! Just kidding… we didn’t put much of a dent in this bottle, but we’ve had it for a while and were waiting for a special occasion to pop it open. What better way than celebrating 1 year of being parents? Cheers!
