Girls Night at The Royal Palms Resort

September 13, 2017

A few weeks ago, I stayed at the Royal Palms Resort for a little staycation in Scottsdale, AZ. This time, inside of having JJ and Vivienne join me, I made it a girls night away with friend and photographer, Jennica of Amaes Photography. If that name doesn’t ring a bell to you then you probably haven’t been following me long enough 😉 Jenn is my to-go girl who does literally everything for me. From taking the majority of my photos to helping me update and brainstorm my brand… this girl does it all. I couldn’t be more grateful to have her by my side. So, this weekend I really wanted to treat her by joining me on this staycation. We were so excited for good food, wine, and spa treatments coming our way!

We arrived at 4pm on Saturday, checked in to our Spa Terrace room, and was given a welcome glass of champagne to start our evening off right. We unpacked our things, Jenn opened the gift I got her, and we relaxed a bit before getting ready for dinner. After a few glasses of champagne, we set off to T. Cooks to enjoy dinner and a bottle of wine. We had an amazing waiter that night, who took such good care of us, recommending amazing wine and entrees that definitely did not disappoint. He was full of character and had us laughing all through dinner. Some of my favorite courses of the night included the Heirloom tomato salad and Alaskan Halibut. We had more wine for dessert and ended the evening at The Mix Up Bar. Great conversation and a good meal was the highlight of the evening.

The next morning, we walked around to enjoy the resort a bit (even in the 100 degree weather) before going back to T. Cooks for brunch. Some of my favorite things about this resort are the conversational areas, greenery, and romantic architecture it brings. It’s just an absolutely stunning place to stay. Definitely one of my favorites.

As far as brunch, I would recommend ordering the Egg White Frittata. It wasn’t my dish. I chose the Farmhouse Omelette which was really good but there was something about that Egg White Frittata that Jenn chose that left me feeling pretty jealous that I didn’t order it myself. I may have snuck a few extra bites. Nonetheless, everything was delicious.

We ended our stay with two 50 minute massages at Alvadora Spa. In my case, it is the only way to end a trip. As a new mom, I carry a lot of tension in my shoulders and neck. So, the relaxation and release was exactly what I needed before heading back home to my family. A little reboot is always necessary! Overall, we had an amazing. It is by far one of the most beautiful places to stay in Arizona. I would highly recommend staying, dining, and relaxing here if you are planning a visit or looking for a mini local getaway.
