I don’t know about you, but the weeks have been flying by! I can’t believe I am 3 weeks away from being half way through this pregnancy. Although I am so excited to meet her, I don’t mind these next couple of months slowing down a bit. There are so many things to get ready for and I am feeling slightly overwhelmed with the process.
This weekend I experienced a painful Saturday morning of cramping. It felt like the first day of my period and I could barely move, let alone get out of bed. It was alarming to me as I hadn’t felt sick this whole time. I’ve done a little research and know that it is completely normal to have cramps during the second trimester. This is called round ligament pain, that occurs when the uterus expands, causing the ligaments and muscles that support it to stretch. Hello painful! Since I am getting bigger by the week, the slight pain at times is kind of comforting because it makes me feel like something is happening in there. Other than that, I don’t really feel pregnant.
