Thank you for all your support this past year and I look forward to bringing you even more improved content in 2019. I am so grateful for those of you who read these posts and go out of your way to tell me how they impact your life. Thank YOU for keeping this going and making me excited to share my life with you.

So, it’s the New Year. 2019. A time where everyone is hoping for a fresh start. “New Year, New Me” is the reoccurring phrase- whether that means a hope to change physically, mentally, professionally or spiritually… we all have similar yet different aspirations for our future selves. I’m all for it. I love the feeling of a fresh start or “reboot” to get oneself back on track. Perhaps these are things that took a back seat at one point throughout the year or a new goal for a brighter future. Have you ever made a resolution that you couldn’t keep? Feel the guilt of not getting to the gym when you promised yourself you would? This is me… every. single. year. So, I’ve decided I’m no longer setting myself up to fail. For me, being flexible is key. My personality is major type A and having said that and also being a parent, I need to be better at being OK with days, weeks, or the year not going exactly how I imagine. I’m taking the pressure off myself and trying to be more go with the flow and make intentional goals this year.

Yesterday, I asked what some of yourresolutions were and had a lot of the same responses: Self-care, weight loss, get out of debt, live more in the moment, and be a better parent. So, how do we get there? How do we become a better parent? What’s your personal definition of a good parent (as everyone’s opinion is different in this subject). So, take what that means to YOU and make goals to get there. Is it to sit together for dinner every night as a family? Spend 15 minutes in the evening reading a book before bedtime? Create a list under your big goal (to be a better parent) and define what that means to you.

For me, self-care will always be on my priority list as I truly feel to be a better anything, you have to be right with yourself. Therefore, I plan to meditate when I can, exercise, hike, read books, listen to podcasts, and continue to plan ME time with and without JJ. I also have many goals for the blog that I hope to stick to on a weekly basis… Toddler meals, family activities, date night, beauty, travel… etc. all big things that I plan to share with you this year and continue to grow this brand. Cheers to 2019 and working toward all your future goals!

xoxo, Lola
