Two weeks ago, I had the most beautiful baby shower a girl could hope for; surrounded by my close family and friends, and exactly as I’d picture it to be. All with the help of so many amazing local vendors and artists. The day couldn’t have been more perfect.
Within a few days of announcing our pregnancy on social media, husband and wife team Leah and Matt of Tremaine Ranch reached out to congratulate us and offer their services for when the time came to host our baby shower. I can’t imagine what I would have done without them. Leah was so willing, creative, and accommodating in the entire process and I owe it all her for how it all came together.
For a couple of months, I had been searching around for the perfect venue to host the event. Resorts, restaurants, and warehouses… were all on my radar. What I was really looking for was a quaint atmosphere that was large enough to accommodate all my estimated guests. I came across a home in Mesa, Arizona on Airbnb and my jaw dropped. This was it! The home was a dream and EXACTLY what I was looking for. Do people actually live here? I contacted Sheri through the website and she immediately was interested in allowing me to host at her home. A week later, we met, agreed on the terms and the home my mine (well, mine for a couple hours). The first thing I can tell you are the photos on Airbnb are beautiful and all, but do not do this place justice. The moment you pull up to this home, you’re mesmerized by the size… and then you walk through the front door and you are immediately drawn to look out the oversize windows which expose the entire backyard. A wow factor for guests as they enter the venue. In my dreams, I was itching for the entire shower to be held outside…but since we live in Arizona, it’s not possible this time of year. So, I settled for an inside/outside concept.
Leah met with me at the home a few weeks later to discuss the details and style of the shower. Although I am a pretty particular person in general and used to organizing and doing things myself, I was fairly mellow about it all. I trusted Leah and her vision. Have you seen her events? You would too. There were a couple of things that I knew I wanted for the shower: 1. The colors to be all white 2. Have a venue that would give off a homey feel without it actually taking place in my home 3. Although offered by many, I didn’t want other people to be responsible for hosting and planning for me. 4. A place to accommodate Tremaine Ranch furniture. The other details were not so important. Since the home already had amazing outdoor furniture, we decided to only bring in a few key pieces from Tremaine’s inventory. They fit perfect. Leah also did me a huge favor and created the menu/favor/ the ”advice for the new parents” cards, and detailed signs for the event. This girl is a jack of all trades!
The morning of my shower, I was feeling a little anxious. Although I did the majority of the planning myself, it was difficult to wrap my head around the fact that today was about celebrating me and baby V. I’ve had an amazing pregnancy so far; so good that I often feel like I am just going through the motions and this shower isn’t really for me. Its just another day hanging out with good friends. The moment came as I sat down to begin opening presents. I looked up, saw my favorite people surrounding me, and I couldn’t help but feel emotional and blessed for the love and support I’ve received from these women. Whether we have known each other for years or not long at all, I am so excited to introduce V to such inspirational and supportive women. So thank you to everyone who took the time to come celebrate me and V, JJ and I are beyond grateful.

Mesa Airbnb: I had the privilege of hosting my baby shower at this beautiful Mesa home that is listed on Airbnb. Sheri was beyond accommodating and I wouldn’t have changed a thing about the location and presentation of my event.
Tremaine Ranch: The husband and wife team, Leah and Matt provided their design, furniture, and styling services for the baby shower. I owe it all to Leah for her creative mind and help with detailing the event. She went as far as contacting other vendors, printing/creating signage, and even personally adding balloons in the pool for final touches. At the end of the event, Matt and Leah came back and did all the clean up! What a huge help this was for this tired pregnant lady! Thank you so much for all your help!
Chestnut Fine Foods: All the delicious food, beverages, and treats came from Chestnut Fine Foods catering. We decided on a brunch theme as the shower was from 11am-2pm. Kirsten also provided some of her popular bakery items, such as: mini maple oat scones, mini pop tarts, mini pecan bars, mini gluten free peanut butter bars, mini signature cc cookie and a Jenny B cake that was a huge hit. So good, that my mom made sure it came home with us 🙂
Mamas Cold Brew: You are more than likely no stranger to this delicious cold pressed coffee company. Allie has created amazing flavors that are packaged adorably, and are the perfect addition to any event, shower, or store shelf. Everyone was so excited that they were there, especially me.
Karlee K Photography: I am in awe over these photographs and so excited that they are mine to cherish forever. Karlee is an absolute pleasure to work with and completely blew me away when I received the final product of images. She could not have captured the day better!
Flora by Haleigh: All of the gorgeous white florals and green garlands are from Flora by Haleigh. I asked for white on white, with a little bit of greenery and that is exactly what I got. Another introduction from Leah, Haleigh was so accommodating, creative, and especially kind when we met that morning. I am in love with how these florals came out. Head over to her Instagram account and check out some options of arrangements, she is so talented!
Sydney Sprague: My sister introduced me to Sydney after listening to her play at a friend’s baby shower last year. I absolutely loved her voice and the vibe for my event. Sydney was so helpful with providing a playlist, as well as open to options if you had a specific list or song you wanted her to play. I wish I could accurately explain how beautiful her voice is. So good, I often had to remind myself that I was listening to live music. She will blow your guests away! If you are interested in hearing Sydney sing, she performs locally at different venues… check out her events calendar on her site.
Petite Party Studio: The balloons and tassel décor that were in the pool were from Petite Party Studio in Gilbert, AZ. I had a vision of my guests arriving to the sight of large white balloons floating above the pool, it was perfect!
Experience Local USA: For those of you who may not already know, Experience Local USA is a new project in Arizona, focusing on celebrating and showcasing all local vendors in the area. An amazing project that my sister is law is involved in. They helped put together the favors for my shower which included Dovetail Vintage, The Simple Farm, and Verano Bathery. Everyone loved the items and the fact that it was all local vendors involved.
Minted: Invitations by Minted. They have the best selection of invites that you could want for your event. I chose a simple yet classic style for my baby shower called Brilliance. I am not typically a big pink person, but fell in love with the rose gold invites. They turned out perfect!
Babyganics: Babyganics provided an amazing bundle of products to display at my baby shower. They also gave small gift bags for my guests to take home as well. I did a bundle reveal on my snapchat a couple of weeks ago and boy am I set for Vivienne’s arrival thanks to them! They sent me every single product! Thank you Babyganics!
My look:
The Tara Hair: Tara of The Tara Hair is my go-to girl for everything hair related in Arizona. She has also become one of my dearest friends. I decided to do something a little shocking and wear my hair up for the event. For those of you that know me, I’m more of a wavy hair down kind of girl. Another big shock for you is the day of our hair trial (because yes, I need a hair trial) I decided to cut bangs to fit the look. Quite the rebel over here. We cut them shorter day of and the hair style turned out PERFECT. Tara killed it per usual.
SN Makeup Artist: Stephanie of SN Makeup Artist is also my go-to girl for makeup and a great friend I’ve made while living in Arizona. The day of the shower we decided on a glowing look with soft pink hues. There was absolutely nothing I would have changed from the look she created. it was absolutely perfect and might I add, photographed beautifully. I haven’t felt that radiant and beautiful in a long time.
Rachel Pally: I was really inspired by Arielle of Something Navy’s look from her wedding rehearsal dinner. It was girly, elegant, and classic. After searching high and low for a dress, I finally went with this long sleeve ivory caftan dress by Rachel Pally. It was the most comfortable dress and the exact look I was going for.
I want to say a special thank you to the people who took the time to travel to come celebrate me and Vivienne. Thank you to my mother for flying out from New York, JJ’s Nana for driving from Southern California, and my friend Alyssa who drove from Vegas and took time away from her new baby girl to come celebrate with me. I can’t tell you how much it meant to me that you were all there.
xoxo
