Chill

March 13, 2015

Like most people, I have a full-time job Monday -Friday; so my weekends are an important time for me to be as productive or lazy as I want to be. Lately, I feel like I am never sitting still. Trying to make time for friends, family, scheduled events, and shooting blog content for the following week can be time consuming and exhausting.  But I love every minute of it.

My Saturdays are spent organizing outfits and taking a couple of hours photographing in downtown Phoenix. The photo shoot isn’t as glamorous as you may think. While my photographer is looking after the rescue pup in between outfits, I quickly change in the back seat of my car without 1: someone seeing me naked, 2: breaking a sweat. I am so fearful of these summer months approaching. Be prepared for some top knots. Saturday nights can be hit or miss for me. I could be in the mood to plan a night out or be perfectly content relaxing at home. It typically depends on how exhausted I feel after getting home.

As someone who didn’t love the term, “Sunday Funday”… I have recently turned into that girl. Don’t get me wrong, mimosas and brunch are my favorite! But going further than that would instantly depress me thinking about work the following day or let alone being hungover on a Monday. Not really my thing. Now, with my Saturdays filled up, you can typically find me with friends at OHSO Brewery or relaxing at The W pool with my husband. The type of outfit for the end of the weekend is simple, comfortable and trendy. I paired this soft dress/cover up by Suburban Riot, converse sneakers and a light denim vest to stroll around town in.
