This past weekend, JJ and I took a road trip to Las Vegas to celebrate the wedding of our two friends, Alyssa and Chris. Alyssa and I met while attending St. Bonaventure and really hit it off as good friends while rooming together during a summer abroad program in Italy. There are many stories I could lead and end with, but let’s just say and leave it at…. we had fun those four years of college.
We were fortunate enough to spend the long weekend with our two best friends, Meg and Jon. Yes, we all shared a room the whole weekend. Sorry we’re not sorry. We stayed at the Wynn on Thursday night while Meg and I attended Alyssa’s bachelorette party and didn’t walk back through those doors until 5:30am the next morning. What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas… or at least in our group chat. The Wynn was amazing and I highly recommend you staying there if you get the chance. I also recommend eating at the Terrace Point Cafe when you are feeling a hangover coming on, get the chicken and waffles with a screwdriver on the side. Works wonders. This weekend has made me come to terms that I’m not really a Vegas person anymore. I can’t do the long nights with little sleep, and attempt a crowded dance club all night(insert grandma emoji). But I’m okay with it.
We had a more low key Friday night, gambling a little at Southpoint Casino where we stayed the following two nights, as it was closer to the wedding venue. Saturday was the wedding at Revere Golf Club, it was absolutely beautiful. Alyssa made a perfect bride. They hired a 90s band (yes, only 90s music… amazing) and one of my favorite moments of the evening was Chris playing the saxophone for Alyssa.
This weekend officially ended our crazy wedding season. We are so blessed to have been invited to celebrate with so many friends and friend as they said I Do, but excited to retire as a wedding guest and really start going on house projects and purchases.
Cheers to this great couple!
