July 4th, 2014: San Diego

July 8, 2014

We had an amazing 4th of July visiting with family and friends in San Diego. I truly feel so blessed to have the in-laws that I do. I find it rare to see a group of people that genuinely would rather just be together than anywhere else. It’s refreshing and I am so happy to be apart of this family.

Thursday night, JJ and I had a date night at the Patio in Pacific Beach. The Patio is well known for their crafted cocktails, and the food was absolutely delicious. The outside dining area was open with lightly covered patio string lights, a very romantic atmosphere. I’d highly recommend this restaurant for your next date night.

My sister-in-law and her boyfriend, John were the ultimate hosts this weekend. From Phil’s BBQ to Baked Bear; it was the perfect way to spend the 4th with family. Everyone had a great time watching the sunset and fireworks on their amazing rooftop deck.

Saturday, was the highlight of the weekend. Almost the whole family (still missing about 10 people if you can believe it, not including the kiddos) spent the morning at Tower 23, having a delicious brunch in such a serene setting. Moments like these we will never take for granted.

That night we enjoyed our favorite sushi restaurant, PB Sushi and caught up with friends who were visiting from San Francisco.

Until next time San Diego…..

Be Kind,
Lola
