“I’ll eat better tomorrow.” 5 tips to get you back on track!

June 10, 2014

Often times, “I’ll eat better tomorrow” turns into a binge week… and then a month goes by and you feel bloated and unhappy. You turn to a mirror and wonder, what the heck happened!?! Everyone has bad or lazy days, but don’t let that one day over power your journey to become a better you. I’m guilty of this on multiple occasions, especially after a holiday or long weekend. One cheat day turns into five and then this girl complains to her husband about it for the next ten. What’s the solution?

Start fresh. Start now. Eat healthy. Exercise. Drink plenty of water!
And most importantly, make it a lifestyle.

Getting back on track:

1. Give yourself a goal.
Goals keep you honest and motivated. Give yourself a goal that you know you can do, even if it may be out of your comfort zone.

2. Start your morning off with a juice.
Sometimes all you need to do is kick start the mornings with healthier choices. A juice gives you energy, cleanses your body and makes you feel rejuvenated. Juice of choice: Spinach/Kale, Ginger, Cucumber, Celery, Beets (what I had this morning). If you do not own a juicer, find the nearest location!

Shop juicers:

3. Break the seal, go to the gym.
So you’re off your gym game… what better way to get back into working out than forcing yourself to go? Some people don’t like the act of working out, but feel amazing after. “I regret that workout.”- said no one ever. True statement, just do it. Don’t have a gym membership? Go running outside or search for a YouTube channel that provides workout videos/inspiration.

4. Buy cute workout clothes.
Every time I purchase a new outfit, I am all about showing it off. Why not kick start your motivation with a new outfit? Why not have a good excuse to go shopping anyway? 😉

5. Plan your meals.
“Fail to prepare, then prepare to fail.”
Meal prep is so important to live a healthy lifestyle. Make out a grocery list, plan out your meals in advance, and give yourself a couple of easy meals throughout the week.
