Football season begins…

September 10, 2011

Ah, preseason football… means long Sunday’s of not seeing my husband or pretending to watch football. Yesterday may have been more exciting to my husband than Christmas morning….me on the other hand… ya…. not so much. It’s not that I do not mind watching sports on occasions, I’d rather go to a game and feel involved rather than spending countless hours staring at a television especially when I have no idea what is going on. I was a cheerleader in HS who waited for everyone else to cheer before understanding that there was a touchdown… my family also did not grow up watching sports.
Anywho…I love to cook as you all may have guessed by now, so I’ll take an occasion like pre-season football and make it fun! I made chicken wing dip which is more so an east coast appetizer 🙂 I received so many responses for the recipe and all of them were different but I knew my co-doll Sio would know exactly what I wanted! *Beware, this app has a lot of fattening products involved but so delish 🙂
Ingredients:
1 1/2 blocks of cream cheese
1 cup of blue cheese dressing
2/3 cup of shredded cheddar cheese (you can guesstimate as well)
1 cup of Franks hot sauce
2 Shredded or chopped chicken breast
1/2 stick of butter
Instructions:
I cooked the chicken first (seasoning it with salt and pepper). Make sure you wait for it to cook down a bit before shredding. Put the cream cheese on the bottom, added the blue cheese next, then put the shredded chicken and butter in, adding the franks hot sauce on top and the shredded cheddar cheese on top! Put in oven for 350 degrees for about 30-40 minutes or until bubbling. You may have to dab the extra liquid/grease on top! This is a must have for any party/football game! Hope you enjoy! And thank you Siobhan for getting me the recipe! Cookies made by Kendra!
