Organize your Life with Lists

April 2, 2019

There are some days that I feel overwhelmed with my to-do list and what I have to get done. This could be anywhere from laundry to a blog post; yet regardless, the list sometimes feels never-ending. Even when I am working on accomplishing one thing, 10 more pop in my head… then add kids having an off day with their nap schedule. It can be stressful and somedays I have minor meltdowns. This is something I’ve been working on for a while now, personally, with a therapist as well as with my spouse. I’ve learned that you can’t actually get everything done in a day… and its OK. Make a list, prioritize your list, and start crossing off things that I’ve accomplished. It will make me feel better and I’ll be able to do one thing at a time. Today, I knew I wouldn’t be able to do a blog post AND organize documents for taxes. These are two top priorities for me this week… so I made the decision on what came first, realized they were both not going to get done, and was OK with doing taxes the following day.

Make a list, take a deep breath, and make a realistic list of what you can do that day.

xoxo, Lola
