Packing my Hospital Bag for Baby #2

August 27, 2018

Ah, the good ol’ packing the hospital bag blog post. So blogger of me. But honestly… I received so many people wanting to know what I plan to bring this time around, so here it is. If you remember, I wrote this post 3x with Vivienne. 1 post on what I planned to bring for myself, 1 post on what I planned to bring for Vivienne, and then the last on what I actually used at the hospital. Excessive, I know. So, here we are again… for the last time.

The majority of what I plan to bring is actually for me, rather than baby girl. The hospital has EVERYTHING you need. We even ended up using an oversized wrapped tee from the hospital instead of an outfit we brought because we forgot to bring a onesie with mittens and the newborn size didn’t fit. Check out the list below.

For mom:

  • Pillow, blanket, and towel from home. You’ll be so much more comfortable with your own items and the towels they provide are very small.
  • Comfortable clothing: Sweats, nursing bras and tank, robe, socks, brief or boy shorts underwear
  • Toiletries: Shampoo/Conditioner, Body Wash, Brush, Scrunches/Hair ties, Face Wash, Toothbrush, Moisturizer, Contact Solution, Contact Case, Glasses, Deodorant, Eye cream, Chapstick, Blowdryer, Hair brush
  • Phone Charger
  • Camera

For baby:

  • Car Seat
  • Under 7 pound, newborn, and 0-3 sized onesies.
  • Hats
  • Going home outfit
  • Pacifier
