Spring Into Style

March 31, 2016

Spring into Style, brought to you by Phoenix Fashion Week is a community driven event showcasing Arizona Stylists and on-trend spring fashions from local retailers and designers.

This year, I was attending the spring show for the first time while participating as one of the six social media influencers. To explain it simply, a stylist picks a trend for their runway show, and dresses their matched influencer in the same trend who will display the look from the crowd.

I was matched with Brandon Hunt, a stylist, model, and designer from LA/Arizona. Brandon is also is the creator and owner of Livintage Apparel, an online boutique that supplies unique vintage designs and trends. Can you say track jackets and sports bombers? Yes please. Brandon and I were unfortunately too busy to meet until the day of the show, but were able to collaborate from a far and put together a pretty cool “lingerie” inspired look for his show. Brandon pulled a long black see-through skirt from Pitaya Boutique in Tempe and I managed to pair the rest with what I had in my closet that we agreed on. I wore a simple black blazer, black hat, bralette, and mesh top to complete the look.

Stephanie of SN Makeup Artist give me the perfect final touches which made it all come together! The makeup! I went a little darker than normal this night, rocking a full black lip. What are your thoughts?

My friend Tara Hainsworth (@thetarahair) came as my perfect date for the evening. Although it was a chilly night, to me it is always a good time to get dressed up and support the Phoenix fashion community.

Below is a peek of Brandon’s lingerie-inspired show, presented by Embellished Jewelry and my finished look. Congratulations to Brandon for taking home the WIN that night for best styled show!
