Happy New Year! Although this is my first post of the new year, I’m sharing my holiday look from 2015. I took a few days off from blogging around Christmas to today for some much-needed down time with family in Syracuse. The second to last day of travel I started to feel a head cold coming on and even today I am still not at my best. Not the greatest start to 2016. On a positive note, this cold gave me a kick-start to “Dry January” aka not drinking alcohol during the month of January. Currently at day 7 and feeling determined to get through the rest of the month. The best part? I don’t even miss it… yet. Check back with me in a week.
I loved visiting my family in Syracuse. It was incredibly relaxing and just nice to spend time together for Christmas. I can’t believe it had been 2 years since I’d been home! I definitely partook in a large amount of wine and delicious foods (home cooked, Mario and Salvo’s, and Pastabilities) and I regret nothing (especially the three different times I had pizza). The weather was at an amazing 60 degrees when we first got there, followed by snow the second to last day. The strangest weather for NY, especially for December.
My parents hosted their annual Christmas Eve party and I decided to go in all black for the event. I wore a long high waisted leather skirt, silk tank, and a long neck scarf. I think everyone should own these classic pieces.
Did everyone enjoy their holiday?
I am so excited to share that my sister, Lexie is moving to Arizona NEXT WEEK! So excited to have my family on this side of the world 🙂
