Summer starts now has to be the best three words someone can say or hear. It always takes me back to when the bell would ring on the last day of school (other than my college years of course, I was always sad to leave for break); everyone would run for the front door beaming with excitement from the mere thought of freedom. Summer meant sleeping in, ice cream dates, warm nights, more downtime with friends, swimming, and sweet sunshine.

Even though as an adult, the Summer season no longer means freedom; there are still many perks to look forward to. Summer is still the season for love, vacation dreaming, outdoor activities, and a whole new wardrobe filled with fun and colorful pieces. I spent one afternoon at my local H&M in Scottsdale, Arizona in search for my go-to summer outfit. I was looking for a chic, simple, and clean look. Of course, I ended up with something white. The silk piece was absolutely gorgeous and I instantly fell in love. I figured it would work well both as a top and as a cover up over swimwear. I paired the piece with washed stretch denim shorts, which are extremely comfortable. I absolutely the heavy distressed details and hemming on the edges. Sexy, chic, and oh so summery.
