W Scottsdale

I wanted to share with you some amazing moments from our stay-cation last weekend at the W Scottsdale in Old Town. Although we are no strangers to this trendy hotel, this was the first time we stayed overnight. Whenever we do get the chance, you can typically find us lounging by the pool or enjoying a sushi meal at their delicious restaurant.

Upon arrival, we used their SPG app to both check into and enter our room using their new Keyless feature. No more waiting in line at the front desk. You simply check in using the app and your room number will appear. When you arrive at your room, hold your phone up to the keypad and enter. You even have the option of loading your preferences into the app and they will have it all ready for you. How amazing is that?

We also brought Lucy and King with us, who were just as excited for a little stay-cation with mom and dad. The W had a comfortable dog bed, bowls, and local treats waiting for them. As for us, they surprised JJ and I with some of our favorites. A bottle of champagne, mint chocolate chip ice cream, and a David Matthews Band record. Talk about our kind of relaxing!

After a glass of champagne, we headed over to the wet pool to take in some music, sun, and more champagne! We are on vacation after all, am I right? We ended the night down at their restaurant, Sushi Roku enjoying the gorgeous night and a delicious dinner. The Beef Rib Eye wrapped Asparagus are a must and I was a big fan of the Toro and Jalapeno roll. Delish!

We had such a great night staying at the W Scottsdale and plan to stay again as soon as we can. If you are looking for a comfortable, trendy, with a little bit of fun (wet pool) then I would definitely recommend you staying at the W Scottsdale whenever you come to town; or like us, an excuse for Arizona residents to enjoy a little stay-cation.
