LA: Day one

If we are being technical, day one is actually day two; but with little time in the evening it was difficult to document for a full post. Therefore, day one it is. I was never a big fan of Los Angeles, especially while living in San Diego. All I could think about was the unbearable traffic while attempting to visit. I felt it was overrated. This year for some reason, we’ve had an itch to visit the trendy city. When we heard Summer Slam was taking place there, we were eager to go.

JJ and I arrived at LAX on Friday evening, leaving little time before running over to The Chaya for dinner. We had a few cocktails and ended up on the dance floor of Suede until 1am.

We woke up early on Saturday morning to watch the Arsenal game and have lunch with family at Local Table. We spent the rest of the day and night with our friends, Ashley and Ben. We lounged at the pool, had a drink at Bar 107 , dinner at Baco Mercat and ended the evening listening to the band, Bird Bird Bird at Perch.
