ZombieRunner 10k, San Francisco

Running long distance has always been a challenge for me and I never imagined having the desire to run a marathon/race. About two months ago, I got this random spurt of motivation to accomplish a summer bucket list. From small accomplishments to large, there were a few things I added that were out of my element. Training for a marathon was one of them. I signed up for a 10k race that was only 4 weeks away, which meant only 4 weeks of training. This got me moving fast and to the point, which was better in the long run. To delay the sign up process would have given me more time to delay my training.

This past Saturday I woke up at 6:50am, washed my face, ate breakfast, and was dropped off by 7:45am at Crissy Field.
The course was no joke. Hills, trails, stairs, SAND… but luckily, with plenty of thanks to my playlist.. I managed to finish in an hour and 5 minutes.
There was nothing better than crossing the finish line and being greeted by my handsome husband with champagne and flowers!
Did I mention that I ran past the finish line not knowing where it was?? JJ had to chase me down!!! Typical.

Summer Bucketlist
1. Train and run a marathon… 5k to start 10k completed on 6/14
2. Skydive and/or ride in a hot air balloon. Skydive booked for August 18th
3. During a weekday morning, get up extra early to bring Lucy to this dog friendly coffee shop.
4. Sign up for bikram yoga and spin classes.
5. Join a nonprofit/volunteer program to help others.
6. Take a cooking class. Signed up to take a class with Kendra on Wednesday
7. Try a new recipe on a weekly basis. This, I do.
8. Purchase a new camera and rekindle my love for photography. In the process of saving
9. Host a brunch & movie night.
10. Partake in something my husband loves to do.I can half cross this off since I did frisbee golf, but perhaps I should show make more of an effort to watch sports.
